What's happier than SPRINKLES? I'm not sure I have a good answer for that! Our friend gave us these giant cartons of sprinkles (think gallon-size) and since there was no way on Earth I could find a way to actually use them in my kitchen (at least not fast enough to ensure that they wouldn't be dumped all over my house) I let the kids dump them out in the water table outside.
Then it got dumped onto the ground, and down the slide...
...on the box, and all around outside!
THEN, it rained. -_- There is sprinkle goo all over the back yard. Joy crushed! But, it was still fun, and I'm glad the kids enjoyed it. I felt like a good mom for letting them play their way.
Until the rain it has been so glorious outside - I feel like the majority of our time was spent enjoying the outdoor pleasures in our neighborhood. - the park, neighbors, our backyard, walks. We ate dinner outside a couple nights in a row and now that's where Natalie asks to eat, and we're usually happy to oblige. It feels good to say YES to their requests instead of "not right now" or "maybe" or some other version of "no."
This box was a fun toy for a while. Also, Natalie giving the grils a ride around the backyard. So cute!
Happy outside *sprinkle* faces

This boy. Eternally filthy face. The best.
They take turns on the "throne" of chairs. I love that picture of my Natsby smiling up at me : )
they were mad that I was forcing them to take a picture together..."mom go away, we were fine!"
Stockton LOVES doing this at the park. It brings him such glee! I love when he thinks something is exciting and he catches my eye to make sure I see the excitement and shares a smile with me.
