Here ya go, Jack, a post of your own!

Your stats:
Weight: 18lbs 4oz 63rd percentile
Length: 26in 32nd percentile
Head: 17.5in 68th percentile

You love:

being held
burrowing into mommy's shoulder
watching your sister
laying on the bed
being outside

Your sleep habits:

Pretty good, for the most part. You usually eat twice in the middle of the night - we're working on going longer between feedings at night- and every three hours during the day. Your naps aren't really scheduled, but you usually have a morning, afternoon, and pre-evening nap. You like sleeping in your carseat and love your fuzzy cozy yellow blankie. You are still swaddled any time you go in your little crib - we're probably nearing the time to move you into your big crib in Stockty's room! We try to let you fall asleep by yourself but sometimes you need a little rocking chair action to settle you down first. You do a great job staying asleep through all the noise your siblings make, and you have no problem going back to sleep after eating in the middle of the night.

Eating habits:

You won't take a bottle (...we're sort of working on it) but love baby foods. You gag on the oatmeal cereal, silly boy. It's fun for Daddy to feed you. You like mum-mums but make such a mess with them!

Things I want to remember about you at this age (six months):

you're good at sitting by yourself but still topple frequently enough that we don't usually leave you alone yet
you giggle when Natalie smiles at you
you follow Stockton with your eyes and flap your arms when he is running around you
you grab my cheek/neck/ear with your cute little hands and put your face close to mine and I love it

We love you, Smalls! Thanks for giving us crinkly smiles and being the perfect holdable size and smelling like baby goodness and being our little sidekick.

  1. So cute and squishy! What a guy! Babies are so much fun. I love his nickname, smalls--perfect! And baby facial expressions are THE BEST. I've been meaning to do an all about Amber posty post for a few weeks now--thanks for the reminder! :)

  2. He is wonderful. I'm so glad I got to snuggle with him and sniff his baby head.
