Mom Win #1:
Stockton has been potty-training for the past couple of weeks, and it's actually going really well! The people at ACT Clinic (where he does therapy) have been helping us out, and Stockton's little sphincter muscles are getting stronger by the day! Anyways, the specific event that I would like to highlight is this: Jessie was driving Stockton and Jack home from Omaha when Stockton made it clear that he needed to go potty. As a dad, I would have been like, "Well, hold it or pee your pants, I guess." Jessie, on the other hand, pulled over, grabbed the training potty out of the trunk, put it on the front passenger's seat, got Stockton out of his carseat, and HAD HIM PEE ON THE POTTY! WOO! I couldn't believe it when she told me.
Stockton can't start the day without the paper.
Natalie is now a rockstar! She watched this barbie movie called Rock and Royals or something (horrible movie; probably the worst I've ever seen), and the two main characters are a rock star and a princess. They end up accidentally switching places (of course) and there's a big sing-off at the end and everybody wins and blah blah blah. Anyways, Natalie loved it, and now she wants to be a rockstar. For the past three days, she has requested a "rockstar outfit" for school.
This is a rockstar outfit, by the way. Skirt and pants both necessary. Shirt and cardigan necessary. Hair has to be crazy.
We'll have to work on her technique a little
She's clearly very pleased with her rockstar status
In short, Jessie is an awesome mom!
