Poulsen Visit / Natalie turns 6!

(So this actually happened at the end of July/beginning of August)

The Nevada Poulsens came to visit! We missed Makenzie and Kevin in Bountiful and Makae on her mission, but it was nice to have a lot of us together for that week. My niece Ashlee is so big and beautiful! She has so much happy energy and isn't shy or reserved. She's a total sweetheart and it was so fun to see how much she's grown! She is 2 and a half.

Natalie loved having another girl around!

A lot of our time was spent at Grandma and Grandpas, eating, playing, and relaxing. Afton is pregnant with our next niece or nephew and is due in October, and we're so excited! Ashlee says it's a brother, so we'll see.

One morning Afton and Ashlee joined the boys and I in Omaha for ACT clinic...we dropped Stockton off and then had fun going to the bread store and having an impromptu dance party. Jack loved playing with Ashlee - they're only a year apart, almost exactly, and they had a lot of fun together.

Park, zoo, backyard games, and Natalie brushing her teeth

It was fun to have family visiting for Natalie's birthday! She requested a funfetti cake and, as is our tradition, got to decorate it however she wanted.

She got a new doll (Layla) to be friends with Catherine, and some other fun things. Natalie loves opening presents but isn't picky about what is inside them.

The kids loved getting to know Austin's brother, Anthony, better. I think they were intrigued because he looked and talked like Daddy, but was also different. It was cute. And of course Makall was always swimming in children - they flock to her!

We did a little "Christmas in July" with a gift exchange and a present for each of the children. The kids were confused that it wasn't actually Christmas time, but they didn't complain about the presents!

Donuts for dessert after our "Christmas Eve" dinner at HuHot.

Family time is so important and fulfilling and memorable. So glad we got to spend this time together!
