Tents and Walks and Messes, oh my!

When my mom came to play last week we decided it was time to set up the tent again. This was the third time we've put it in the living room for Natalie to enjoy and she loves it exponentially more every time, which is really cute. She says "tent, tent, tent" over and over again and calls out the name of whoever she wants in there with her. "Elder Holland speaking...must pay attention..." General Conference, a semi-annual weekend of uplifting and clarifying talks from our worldwide leaders of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, happened today and yesterday and it was wonderful, as usual. I enjoy listening more and more every time. It's fun to teach our children that we have a prophet here who leads and guides us and gets direct revelation from God - I felt more acutely the responsibility to rear our children in the Gospel. I especially appreciated a talk from Sister Reeves who spoke to my heart and eased a lot of my unanswered p...

Crazy April

I had a friend in college who we called Crapril - Crazy April - and that's how I feel about this month already. I know I say this every time but man, time is cruising forward. Crazy!  Here's a mishmash of photos and events and experiences we've enjoyed this past month:  Austin's school put on a movie night (Frozen) and Natalie got to hang out with her favorite little buddy. I love how it looks like they're escaping together around that corner haha. look at that curly hair and rosy cheeks and cheeser smile! happy girl : )  Got some good Uncle time with Jack and Aaron - we love living close to family!!! It is so fun to share all these little moments and day-to-day memories with them.  supporting Jack's Jayhawks during March Madness...we won't discuss how Kansas did...  just taking selfies during our afternoon snack : )  We tried to play frisbee golf with our friends but it was SO WINDY, and not in the typical gust-break-gust ...

State Swimming

We love watching my sister at her swim meets - it's always fun to support your family, but it's especially nice when they are actually GOOD, like Annie! A couple weeks ago we cheered for her at the High School State Championships and she killed it - 8th fastest breaststroker in Nebraska! Gooooo, Shoogies!  "Natalie, smile!" my mom was there, duh I had Stockton in the Bjorn carrier and Natalie in the umbrella stroller (which she hates) and with all the officials strolling around guarding entrances and enforcing *unnecessary* rules, it was pretty stressful lol. Natalie wanted to climb the entire length of packed bleachers without a care for the hundreds of people crowded in there and Stockton didn't really like the noise. BUTTTT it was worth it, and very fun to watch my sister. I live vicariously through my siblings' athletic prowess since I didn't get a drop of it Natsby with the victor! getting ready to swim (i think the one in black clo...
