The Poulsen Times

A character in one of Natalie's books creates her own newspaper and it totally sparked this creativity in Natalie. It has been so fun to watch her create and work and get excited. One night before bed she made this poster in a frenzy without telling us what she was working on, and she was so excited to wake up the next day and start working on it. The Poulsen Times was born! I put a note in the "asking box" requesting a Book Review section in her newspaper. She obliged by rating the Dork Diaries books in order of how much she liked them. Jack was more than happy to participate in this project, and he and Natalie created their own "office" downstairs. The next step was involving the neighbor kids. They created the "Pouleick Times" and delivered little papers to the immediate neighbors. It was so funny listening to them talk about their different articles and what they wanted to be in charge of. Natalie often gets excited about things...

Bounce Haus

Claire was napping and the kids were engrossed in a movie (for once) so I foolishly thought I could sneak away for some quiet time in my room. So naive haha. They will always find me! I love this picture...Claire LOVES her blueberry and always gives her hugs Our days were feeling pretty random and hectic (or boring) so I made this schedule to at least give us some sort of framework. It worked for like one day haha. This saucer sled was a PERFECT baby pool! Claire was very pleased with her water experience. And....we broke down and bought a bounce house. The kids needed something to get their energy out and burn off some steam, and we didn't want to get a trampoline right before we moved. So, Bounce Haus is is! It has been GREAT. Highly recommend. Claire wasn't too sure about the whole thing and was happier playing in the grass with us. She looks so good in yellow. Our neighbor's grass truly is greener haha ...
