Our Quaranteam

One positive side effect of all of this coronavirus stuff is the meme content. We are amused daily by little quips like this ^^^ It helps to make light of a doom and gloom situation and be able to laugh a little as we are all stuck at home and worried with each new update.

Some days we have dinner from a can, and other days we make a nice spread. We even tried a veggie waffle recipe. And I went behind my own back and everything I stand for and made....QUINOA. (it was actually pretty good.)

Claire is a great eater! She doesn't seem picky at all, and eats pretty much whatever we give her. She also isn't a bottomless toddler pit yet, so it doesn't feel like we're feeding her 24/7. She does like to play with diapers though...

and take our DVDs out of their case, and "play" the DS...

And climb on the couch to get used muffin wrappings.

One day the kids and I had had enough of being inside our house but we obviously can't go to any of our typical outing places....cue Pioneers Park!

...which only lasted for four minutes because Stockton had to poop as soon as we got there -_-

Daddy is homeeeee!

We've gotten a lot of LEGO mileage recently. Stockton was thrilled to build a garage, and Jack loves following the directions in the little booklet of ideas. Austin got him a special Star Wars build and after building it together he looked up the video where this First Order Attack Vehicle is on screen in The Last Jedi. Jack was so excited, and I was so happy I got this picture.

The kids smother Claire and usually it makes her (and me) mad, but sometimes it's really cute and cozy.

Bless my parents for sending this fun snack box, and some prizes from Amazon. Keeping us sane!!

A nice surprise message when I came down to teach

art projects with cardboard squares, and Stockton trying really hard to pull down our lights and curtains

sisters!

the kids actually sitting down for quiet time?! I hid in the kitchen for the fifteen minutes that this lasted

Natalie and I needed a special mommy/Natsby walk on this day.....we had been bickering all day and both needed a recharge!

I have to hide my green beans now when I come home from the store because Stockton loves chopping them into oblivion

trying to get some workouts in during nap time or when Austin is home!

The kids had fun with this "gem dig kit" from my parents. Of course Stockton immediately grabbed the glasses.

We got a new (used) fridge and the kids were transfixed with the whole process haha. Clearly we are desperate for entertainment.

one of Claire's favorite foods right now is the "shell" of the corn dog haha

Stockton being cozy in our bed

we finally found an appropriate table (dresser) to hold up this massive tv

Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus! is Stockton's favorite book

LOVING the blender

bottle/brother cozies in the morning

Claire has been enjoying books a lot lately. It's very cute! She can point to 'ball' and 'baby.'

We went through a heavy nap cry phase. Glad that's over....we were both sad about it!

she cried herself to sleep folded over like this, which was cute and sad. I made sure she got all comfy and cozy and had a good rest of her nap.

Jack has always liked bringing me flowers, which of course I love too! It was especially nice on this day because I had been feeling like I was failing as a mom, and he reminded me how forgiving he is.

Stockton REALLY misses school. He was really excited to make his own Word Wall like they have in his classroom.

Stockton is SO motivated to do his school work when I tell him I'm going to show Mrs. Senters (I email her.)

We sold our first and only piano! It's the heaviest thing we own (owned) and it needed to go before we moved. We'll get a better one eventually, but for now it feels kind of forlorn to be piano-less.

My house is a constant chaotic disaster of dishes, laundry, toys, food, and activities. I took these before/after pictures to make myself feel better (even though it devolved into mess again as soon as the kids woke up. Sigh).

watching Rise of Skywalker with this crappy rice cake as my healthy snack, and two baskets (four loads) of laundry to keep me company.

We're encouraging Stockton to be more independent about getting things for himself. I try not to get mad that he steps on this drawer because it's cute and clever, but sixty pounds of Stockton can't be good for the drawer haha.
Stockton freaking out about not being able to start my car, and not wanting to go drop off our rent check.
happy/cold boys after swimming!

the beginnings of Box City....the move is looming ever nearer (but still feels like it's forever away)

Austin and I watched this hilarious, bizarre version of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat for a date. Austin loves this musical so much, and it was fun to watch this new-to-us movie together. The narrator was my favorite haha.

The following pictures are proof that I will never have personal space ever again. It's kind of great/smothering.

And, our QUARANTEAM! My neighbor, Stacy, and I decided it would be too hard to keep our kids separated for the duration of this social distancing situation, so we adopted each other's households. It is keeping us sane! All our kids play so well together and it's so nice to just send them out to have some great outside time. They build forts, ride bikes, and constantly run back and forth between our houses. We have picnics once a week, taking turns providing lunch. It's the best.
