Daily Routine

(From November 2019): Austin was leaving for work this morning and I sighed audibly, but when he asked me what was wrong I couldn't really put my finger on it...he suggested that I was just tired of the daily routine, and that was it! I'm tired of making meals and cleaning up and doing laundry and school drop-off/pickup and dirty bathrooms and the neverending tidying, etc etc etc. I would say we are in a good groove - the kids are doing well in school, everyone is healthy, we're making progress on money goals and have exciting plans to look forward to. But the daily is so DAILY. The laundry that gets done but not put away, the dishes that sit in the sink for days, the curtain rod that is permanently bent because Stockton likes to climb behind the chair and pretend he's "trash" (from Toy Story 4). Swim Lessons

Jack took "float lessons" at a different pool earlier in the month, and Natalie and Stockton took swim lessons with Miss Rhonda here. They all loved it! It felt really good to find an activity that Stockton could do independently and loved so much! I hope we can do swim lessons again this spring.

Halloween! and Mimi Visits!

never forget...Halloween 2012 this made me laugh haha Halloween!! I loved trick or treating when I was younger and it is so fun to relive that with my kids. I'm glad we live in a mostly supportive neighborhood where there are plenty of houses with lights on to visit on Halloween. (I do feel like it's kind of a dying tradition though.) Stockton was the wobbly man, of course, Jack was a red m&m, and Natalie was a snow queen. They were all thrilled about their costumes. this year it worked out to go trick or treating with our wonderful neighbors! I wish we could transplant the Eickmeiers to our next street in Cheyenne. Mason, Taylor, Carson, and Parker are great friends to our kids.  Claire lasted approximately 4 minutes haha. Austin took her home and handed out candy. The annual Trunk or Treat at church! Stockton's costume was a total phenomenon. He was a star haha. It was frustrating and hilarious trying to get these group pictures because St...
