Mimi/Gbee Summer Visit

Remember when I went to Idaho for a super quick weekend back in June? My mom and Grammy Bee drove back to Cheyenne with me after that to spend a fun few days with us. We mainly swam at their hotel and watched movies - Grammy Bee hadn't seen Monsters Inc or Coco!  Natalie was looking for specific pants and left the laundry like this -_- Mimi helped us with yardwork! We fertilized the patchy lawn and she and Jack weeded the littlest lone pine tree.  Also, my dad celebrated his 2000th walk! He's been walking for half an hour every single day for the past 2000+ days. So cool! He celebrated with family in town in San Diego...they hiked Cowell's Mountain, a family favorite hike.  Austin tested Grammy Bee's hearing at his office. Doesn't he look official?  More swimming! It was a great quick visit. It is so fun to live near enough to have these kinds of memories together!

Buddy Fun Day

One of the best parts of the school year is the field day at the end of the year. Holmes Elementary calls it "Buddy Fun Day" and our kids were feeling sad that it was cancelled, along with everything else, due to covid. So, my neighbor had the genius idea to put on our own buddy fun day! It was a huge success and the kids were so surprised. They always go on a "morning walk" or bike ride so after we sent them on their way we hurried and set up the tie dying station in the backyard, with Mason's help.  This is the first time either of our families has tie-dyed and it was really fun! Obviously messy haha. The kids took the leftover tie dye and dumped it on trees in our backyard, and the red one made it look like someone had died there (which the kids were excited about somehow haha).  Stacy's poor table afterwards! Then we came to our front yard to do sack races! It was HILARIOUS. I highly recommend doing this with the kids in your life. Everyon...
