Fun and the Flu

Claire demonstrating her clapping skills

bonding with some Super Smash Bros

on a snow day we needed a fun activity so we froze
different colors of gatorade and put them into glasses
of sprite and watched the sprite change colors

this piano has the most annoying sound effects and
songs but it is still going strong as the favorite baby toy
for the past 6 years haha

our favorite: Claire's thumbs up! when she's really jazzed she'll
give us a double thumbs up, emphasized with some fist pumping

Claire loves to pretend to talk on the phone. Here she's using Mlelm Mlelm, our long time family heirloom (a beanie baby squid haha).

sweet Jack saw me holding two bags and Claire
in her carrier after church and he took it upon himself
to grab the bags and carry them so I wouldn't have to.
he is often very thoughtful like this!

THE RETURN OF POTATO FRY SUNDAY! We typically reserve PFS for times when we are with Sam, but when Jack came up one Sunday we decided we could get away with it this one time. We seriously ate so.many.fries haha.

Claire grabbed the spice bottle that Jack brought
and didn't let go for like 20 minutes haha
(it's Fox Point from Penzey's....SO GOOD)

getting wiggles out at the church on another snow day

fresh and curly after a bath!

Natalie practicing her cheerleading skills...the kids
have been obsessed with the movie Z-O-M-B-I-E-S
lately and they love the cheerleading parts

We had snow, then ice, then a little melt, then a ton of ice and more snow all within the same week, and it was the perfect recipe for completely coated and iced over streets. Our neighborhood had abysmal driving conditions for days.

poor Jack came down with the flu (influenza-A, if you were wondering). He was sad for a few days, but very cozy.

I had some good DS time while being cozy with Jack

Claire was an excellent support to her sick brother. Until she got the flu next.

Stockton and Austin both fell sick too, but not quite as bad as Jack and Claire. And Natalie and I remained completely healthy, thankfully! (We both had the flu last year...coincidence?)

side note...I've converted to using reusable bags
most of the time at the grocery store. I'm loving it!
precious baby did not feel good : ( she was being so sweet clasping her hands at Target though

 stupor.........nap

getting some good game time in

Claire was already in my lap but the boys wanted to be close to me, so this was the next best option

feeling better!
