Homebodies

We resented being stuck at home from March through May for the quarantine, and then we moved to Cheyenne and had fun exploring new parks and places, and now for the past few weeks we've kind of voluntarily fallen into more of a stay-at-home routine. Sometimes we stay home because one of the kids is in a mood and going to the store together would not be fun. Sometimes it's because the timing of Claire's naps isn't conducive to an outing. But most of the time we're all just kind of enjoying what we're doing in our house on Golden Hill and it doesn't feel necessary to leave, at least not every day or multiple times a day. It's a nice change for me to not feel like I need an outing to break up the monotony of my days.
The face Natalie always gives when she isn't happy about
having to do something. In this picture, she was annoyed
that it was bed time.

The boys booby trapped their room

This moth thought it was a rebel ship, hanging out on the screen while
we were watching Rise of Skywalker (for the 8th time)

This is from lessons with one of my favorite students, Yaya. She always shows me her fluffy white cat (and the cat always looks very much displeased to be in this compromising position haha). And she drew a picture of me with a pony tail and my headphones. This job is so cute and fulfilling! But I'm also enjoying not teaching as much and mostly sticking to my regular students. I typically teach 2-3 classes each morning and a few on Friday and Saturday nights.

I finally got Austin to watch The Martian with me!!! It's one of my favorite books/movies everrrrr.

My heels have been really dry and cracked (gross) so I wanted to soak and scrub them on the porch one morning........I don't know why I was thinking I could do this without being accompanied by my children haha. But I made room and everyone had soft, good smelling feet! I love Claire's outstretched foot in the first picture haha.

A view from the couch corner of the basement. Natalie was working on a pamphlet about mermaids and Stockton was excitedly jumping about something.

The boys love pretending to be these pogo stick musical instruments from our favorite Animusic video. You can't really tell but they bounce and pretend to pluck strings on their chests.

my view when I opened the door to the garage one morning. MOTHRAS.

Claire really enjoys nakie time.

This field is next to the ATM I go to and the kids love chasing the chipmunks here.

Painting stools for the art cave! We need to paint more. The kids love it. It's just such a mess!

Jack and Claire could play in the pool ALL day. Jack really loves playing with Claire and showing her things. She yells "JAAAAA" when she doesn't know where he is haha.

Stockton was mad that I didn't get a carwash one day so he rubbed soap on my windows so I would have to get a carwash, sneaky dude.

Climbing over fences...such a kid thing to do! I looooove this window in my kitchen looking out into the backyard.

I paid Natalie two dollars to rub my feet. WORTH EVERY PENNY.

I love watching the boys' relationship grow. They love showing each other things and playing together. I love when they see something that they know the other would like, or when a song comes on that they know the other loves they always point it out. It's very sweet.

Sigh, the nightly tooth brushing disaster zone.

I love seeing them all together like this

Jack loves rubbing my feet (an amazing quality to have in a son!). He was having fun trying different tools to see which felt the best.

It's cute to come home and see Claire looking out the window. She and Jack have added these delightful holes in the screen -_-
We taught a family home evening lesson on David and Goliath and practiced using a "sling" by shooting grapes off plastic spoons....probably not historically accurate, but they got the point.

Max's cat straight posing, and aren't my mom and sister cute?
