I was downstairs one morning after teaching working on boxing up something with Austin, and Natalie yelled down the stairs saying that someone was at our door. This was strange because it was like 7 in the morning, and in the age of coronavirus we aren't supposed to have visitors, so we were confused. I went upstairs and it was my friend Erika delivering donuts for General Conference! She said Krispy Kreme gave them an extra dozen and she didn't know what to do with them until she thought of us, knowing that we would be awake early on a Saturday morning and always welcoming of donuts. So nice!
We had some friends help Austin move the piano upstairs from the basement so we could sell it, so we made them pumpkin cream cheese muffins. The kids were very eager helpers in the kitchen! (It is weird to be piano-less but it was our heaviest piece of furniture and we didn't want to move it to Cheyenne and beyond, especially because it wasn't a great piano in the first place.)
Jack got it in his head after watching a documentary with Natalie that he wanted to go to Egypt. I said yes, and he actually thought we were going and legitimately packed a suitcase with clothes and a water bottle since "it's hot and dusty." I had to gently let him down, letting him know that Egypt is thousands of miles away and that we can't go today, and he was distraught. He cried for like thirty minutes, and then finally cried himself to sleep. He and Natalie later pretended to go to Egypt in the basement and had a great time, so all's well that end's well.
Max and my grandma sent a box of prizes for the quarantined kids, and they were THRILLED! The boys loved the walkie talkies in particular, and Claire is obsessed with her purple elephant. So cute.
Stockton loves the Pigeon books by Mo Willems and Max sent another one, so Stockton was very pleased. And I had to snap this pic of him saying the prayer the other night, he just looked so sweet.
Claire is just so sweet and cute. Her profile is with her perfect swoop nose, fuzzy neck, and apple cheeks is my absolute favorite.
^^feeling fancy during quarantine and matching my sweatshirt with my jammie pants
The kids have been into doing scooter tricks lately. They beg us to watch them do the same "trick" over and over again. It's cute and irritating haha. I am grateful for the nice weather. We often spend more time outside than in (or at least the kids do). I am grateful that we get to watch General Conference as a family twice a year. It's usually more of a departure from the norm, but since we're all staying home right now anyway it didn't feel quite as different.
Claire very much enjoyed her share.
Scenes from General Conference: blanket disaster, strewn toys, snacks, sleeping, apostles.
Natalie was bored enough that she asked if she could rub my feet with lotion. Dreams do come true.

^^getting a LOT out of Conference

Claire is perfect, but all of your kids are so adorable I don't know how you can stand it!
