Jack's Birthday

I went back through my pictures making sure I got everything and realized that I never posted about Jack's birthday! He turned 5 on April 24th and had a great day.

(But first, some pictures of two separate visits to Big Jack's house. Max and Alissa visited, which was super fun, and we all had dinner together. A few days later Jack/Sara and Max/Alissa came up to Lincoln for another dinner all together, and it was so great to spend that time with family!!)

These kids love their Big Jack. I am grateful for all the positive memories that they have with him so that even when we're far away, they will always remember our fun times together.

Jack got a tee and a baseball bat for his birthday and practiced SO much, it was so cute. His perseverance and drive to accomplish his goals is very inspiring. He does not give up!

Another example of Jack's perseverance: he really wanted to get good at baseball and was out there in the rain throwing the ball and catching it over and over again. So cute.

Haha she fell asleep waving

Our Little Jack is 5 years old! He's bright, funny, energetic, snuggly, sweet, adventurous, and helpful.

We celebrated a few days early at Grandma and Grandpa's house. Jack specifically asked for a pinata this year, so we brought it over to do with everyone. Now of course all of the kids want pinatas for their birthdays.

Jack asked Grandma and Grandpa for a special cactus plant that he could take care of. (Which was promptly knocked over and displaced while roughhousing with the neighbors.) But it was very cute to see how much care Jack put in to his little plant buddies.

A special picture from PopPop promising to play catch next time we're together!
